Is Spring really here?

Spring is finally arriving I think. I haven't dared think of spring any earlier than this. But I see the signs and dare I heave a huge sigh of relief? Most of the snow has melted, I hear new birds singing every day, and I see patches of newly green grass all over town. I haven't seen the first robin yet but I've heard it sing ( yay!) In spite of a hail storm yesterday I remain optimistic.

I'm loving the smell of the air already, with the scents of late spring wood fires and brush burning, mingling in with the smell of damp spring soil and that indefineable tang of something new. As soon as I'm able to walk a small distance I will get James to take me out in search of pussy willows. Then I will know for sure, it is SPRING.

Ps yes I am sick again. I will spare you the details. Nothing serious ..as usual.
